Whoo-hoo! The next to last step in this process was checked off this morning. We woke to an email from the US Consulate in Guangzhou that they have finished processing our paperwork and have issued the Article 5! Now our agency will deliver the Article 5 and the Letter Seeking Confirmation to the CCCWA who will process them and issue a Travel Approval (TA).
This process can take a few weeks so we will continue to hurry up and wait and get things ready at home. Once we get TA and finalize travel I am sure it will all fall into place quickly.
Meanwhile....this image sort of says it all. We'll post updates as we learn them.

A milestone reached
I woke up this morning to an email from the National Visa Center (NVC) that our paperwork had been processed and that we could now apply for a visa for Wu. This was the last step in a long journey of many steps in the paper chase that is international adoption. I completed the application and sent the appropriate emails to our adoption agency and with that, barring a mistake on my part of paperwork, we are done.
Additionally our passports came back today with our visas so we really are in the "hurry up and wait" phase. We still don't have travel dates and won't for a few more weeks.
Not a long update, but certainly a poignant one for us as the paper chase has been the focus for so long.
We'll let you know when we have travel dates!
